As part of their training, students enrolled in NizaTennis programs are encouraged to participate in the fall-winter team tennis leagues organized by local tennis clubs and associations within the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.

The mixed-gender league matches typically consist of two singles matches (one boy and one girl), two doubles matches (boys and girls), and one mixed doubles match per encounter, although the coordinator may adjust this format during local league play. All matches are conducted as two 4-game pro-sets without add-scoring, with a twelve-point tiebreaker at three games all. Conversely, the single gender-neutral league team matches include four rounds, each featuring one singles and one doubles match, played as one set of six games with no-ad scoring. At 5-5, a regular game is played on serve, and no tiebreakers are employed.
